Situated in Gulliver’s World Resort, Gulliver’s World is the second of the three Gulliver’s themed-parks to be founded by Ray Phillips. The brand is a family oriented one, and has been actively run by the Phillips family over the course of 35 years since the first attraction park was established. Gulliver’s World is currently being managed by the children of the founder, Julie Dalton and Nick Phillips.
Gulliver’s World was founded in 1989 due to the need to expand the brand. There was only one park then, which was too small to enable any major expansion.
The park is situated on a 60 acre land which boasts of a children’s themed park under the descriptions Land, Gully Town and Safari Kingdom; indoor attractions that include the Splash Zone, Blast Arena and RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre; and a woodland themed accommodation for its visitors — The Gulliver’s Hotel.
The park has many exciting rides and provisions that are suitable for children between the age of 2 to 13 — which was all inspired by the world-renowned children’s books — Gulliver’s Travels. Some of the interesting rides include Tomb Raider, Moon Buggies, Jeep Safari, Maze of Cards, and so many more.
The Splash Zone is a water-themed play area for children with all of its rides and slides having water running through them. They are built in a way that ensures that children who cannot swim can still play in the rides, and some slides have shallow pools attached to them in such a way that those who can swim still get to enjoy the beautiful pool.
The Blast Arena is a gaming center that is more suited for children who fall within the higher age groups. The shooting games are based on levels and gaining proficiency in one gains you access to the others. These games include the NERF Target Range and the Laser Tag.
The RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre is a display center for the Burtonwood USA air base vehicles and RAF memorabilia. It forms a major addition to Gulliver’s world attractions as schools around Warrington approach the center for off-site historical teachings of their young students.
The Gulliver’s Hotel is the newest and one of the most intriguing additions to Gulliver’s World. It has a woodland theme featuring unique characteristics like beds made as treehouses, walls with tree paintings and furniture made of vines and woods. The building itself is surrounded by greens, with plants and trees around the hotel.
