Grappenhall is a provincial village located in Cheshire, England, with the popular Bridgewater Canals within Grappenhall and Thelwall. Thus, the semi-rural town is situated on a Bridgewater Canal, close to the River Mersey and northwest railway.

Grappenhall St Wilfrid is an old parish, historically serving Grappenhall and Latchford townships. The church, which originated from Norman, was constructed in the earlier 12th century. St Wilfrid parish features a cat carving on the tower west part. It’s thought to be Lewis Carroll’s insight for grinning Cheshire Cats in Alice’s exploits in wonderland.
Alongside the parish, the village center has two pubs; Ram’s Head and Parr Arms, and Grappenhall school residential hall and St Wilfrid’s basic school.
Grappenhall houses 25th Warrington East Scout Troop. Also, there is a cricket ground that houses Grappenhall Cricket Club. The Heys walled garden was constructed by Thomas Parr in 1830 as a relaxing and pleasure garden and kitchen gardens to manufacture vegetables, herbs, and fruits. After some decline period, the garden was restored by British Partnerships and later by the local church council in the company of the garden friends.
